Thank you for visiting our website dedicated to children of Casa Hogar Jeruel.
A group of us at Southland Christian Church have decided to dedicate time, energy, provision and ministry to these kids and workers; so at least once a year we take a trip to Chihuahua City and help with ministry, building maintenance, remodeling, etc.
How can I help?
During our trip this year, we will be remodeling 6 rooms to be used by others traveling to the orphanage for mission trips. It is the hope of the orphanage that by improving accommodations, other groups will become involved. In addition, we will have a lot of interaction with the children, orgaizing a VBS, games, songs and a big fiesta the last night.
you can help by providing monetary donations. We will need to purchase 6 air conditioning units that cost about $300 each. We will also need to purchase about 18 twin beds, 6 dressers, 6 tables and 12 chairs. It is much easier for us to purchase the items there rather than trying to get them across the border. We will also be remodeling,paingting, etc. If you would rather not give cash, a gift card to Wal-Mart would work great, as would gas cards, as we are driving 2 large vbans. also, new linens for twing beds and new towels (bath, hand and wash) will be needed. We will also be collecting bnags of candy (no chocolate please), ramen noodles, boxes of mac and cheese and dry cereal. Please do not donate clothing for the children as they are not in need of clathes at this time.
